Squish Face
Website to promote pet adoption
Design Plan
THEME DISCOVERY
“Animal Shelters maKe me too sad to even consider going to meet the animals”
“I was worried I would get a bad dog and thought they only had Pit Bulls”
“How can you tell an animals temperament in such a controlled environment”
PROBLEM STATEMENT
Hours of operation and a person's mobility can be a hindrance to individuals trying to find a pet. It is also difficult to know an animals personality when you only meet them at a facility.
GOAL
To increase pet adoption rates through more personalized/experiential interactions and to ensure adoptee safety.
USERS AND AUDIENCE
Those that are caregivers to or are individuals with cognitive and intellectual disabilities

OUTCOMES & LESSONS
“Not having to go into a shelter to meet a potential pet is fantastic….I also like that videos can be used along with pictures for a dog”
“I am always so sad when I go on petfinder and just don’t know the pets or the owners situation so I distrust it, but not this”
“The fact that this feels more like a dating app where you can meet a pet rather than a person is great!”
